Heather Nikole Harper is an East Texas native based in Tyler, Texas and is a Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Independent Recording Artist. She is a member of the BMI Performance Rights Organization. And a member of both The Highway Women and Texas Country Music Association.
Growing up, Heather began her musical journey early in life, listening to a myriad of musicians and genres that ended up influencing her signature sound.
She first learned she could sing at age 3 and at just 7 years old, Heather picked up her first guitar and started writing and composing her songs soon after that.
Her songwriting has always been something that has come natural to her, writing and composing her own songs since middle school.
Heather writes about her feelings and her life experiences that she or others around her have gone through.
"I just know people can relate to songs that come from a deep place in the heart." Heather says.
Heather delves into Country/Pop/Blues and even Pop/R&B/EDM, but during her live performances, she enjoys covering just above every genre that exists.
She has recently been recognized for her outstanding television performances on CBS 19. While also getting recognition on several radio shows. East Texas Radio and CBS 19 has called her the fastest growing artist in East Texas! Heather is one of the most requested artist in her area by popular demand.
Recently, her latest single "Shouldn't Have Fallen" has been placed in the movie "Insincere Twins" which will be released on Netflix and BET as well as select theaters.
Just this past year Heather was chosen to represent her hometown of Tyler, TX for a commercial for the City. The video also features her song Turn It Up.
Heather is also known for auditioning for the hit tv shows American Idol and The Voice. She has also been in several local and regional talent shows, including for her songwriting. Either winning 1st place or coming out at the top such as, East Texas Idol, Operation Rising Star, ETX Got Talent, ETX Vocal Competition, 2017 Finalist at Billy Bobs Texas Singing Competition, 2018 Texas Music Pickers Songwriter semi-finalist and 2019 TXM Songwriter Contest, while including many more.
Heather is a 5 time music award nominee for the 2017 ETX Music Awards. And also a 3 time music award nominee for the 2017 Arklatex Music Awards. She was nominated for Female Vocalist of the year, Songwriter of the year, Acoustic Act of the year, Single of the year "Moonlight" and Rhythm & Blues.
Her Pop/EDM album titled “Stronger” is available now. And she also has two country singles available now titled “Turn It Up” and "Shouldn't Have Fallen". Heather is in the process of recording a brand new country album that is expected to be released in 2019.
